November colour isn't just from fireworks!

We haven't really had any frost yet this year and so the flowers in the garden are hanging on. Much of the colour is in the bed at the front of our house where the choice of plants was based on the length of time they would keep flowering - it seems I made some fairly good choices.

  1. You did indeed choose well. The flowers provide so much color and this late in the year that is always appreciated. Thanks so much for the tip on macros. I think I am definitely getting too close and making the object too big.

Your plot is lovely. Most big and very well organized, despite confusing some of the varieties of strawberries. I am learning about strawberries in my garden and they can be a challenge for me.

  6. I suppose the weather has helped, Jo so I can't take all the credit.

I don't suppose they'll stick around much longer, Naomi

I've sort of gone for a cottage garden look in the front bed, Phoebe but on a very very small scale

  8. Good heavens Sue, I know the weather is helping you out, but that is a lot of colour for November! Nice choices, glad it has worked out so well.

  9. Only two of the flowers shown are not in the front garden Diana, one is the coreopsis (second from right top row) and the other is the perennial nemesia(first left on bottom row.

All I need now is for them to make it through winter, Janet. I have some cuttings in the greenhouse but being unheated that is no guarantee of survival.
