Shaggy Umbrellas

Just thought I’d post a few more photos of our shaggy parasols. I think after the gloom and damp of the last week or so I’m going to rename them shaggy umbrellas!

I've popped my hand in this photos so you can get some idea of scale.

And now we have another one too.

  1. Wow, they look like dinner plates although I would hesitate to eat off them. Frisbies perhaps?

  2. You'll notice that my hand is touching them Liz!

  3. They are amazingly huge! What a shame that they're not nice to eat.

  4. If they are shaggy parasols then I think they are edible, they are huge, you would be able to get a few dinners off them.

  5. I'll never really find out whether they are nice or not, Mark

But they may not be Elaine just some deadly toadstools masquerading

  6. They're whoppers. I've got a few mushrooms popped up in my garden but I don't know what they are, they're not the size of those.

  7. And they seem to be growing more Jo

  8. Goodness they are huge! Surely someone up at the allotments would know whether they were edible? Seems such a waste if they are, but such a risk to...

  9. They are in the garden Janet and our neighbours aren't really gardeners. To be honest I don't think I'd trust anyone to tell me they were edible.
